This subject has fascinated artists for centuries. I had produced a large painting - Swsana - many years ago, which was the starting point for this exhibition. Oriel Q Gallery, Narberth, Wales, allowed me an opportunity to base a show almost entirely on this subject.  I produced three small figures, Swsana and the two elders in an environment or enclosure consisting of three painted screens of seated and "falling" figures.

Guarding the entrance to the screened area, two small seated figures.

On the walls, nine "visitors" - small boxed faces - each witness to the drama unfolding.

On plinths three pairs of winged feet, maybe the souls of the three participants?

All works were mixed media with the bodies of the figures in tissue paper.
